Spencer Murray

Spencer Murray has a diverse work experience spanning various sectors. They began their career in 2007 at Alberta Health Services as a Clinical Programming Clerk, where they coordinated patient appointments and handled receptionist duties. In 2015, they worked as a Marketing and Communications Associate and Intern at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, focusing on creating marketing materials and ensuring brand consistency. From 2016 to 2022, they held multiple roles at the Alberta Machine Intelligence Institute (Amii), including Communications Associate, Manager of Communications and Public Relations, and Director of Communications & Public Relations. They were responsible for overseeing marketing, communications, and public relations activities, managing the organization's brand and identity, and connecting with government stakeholders. Currently, Spencer is the Sr. Partner for Communications & Marketing at the University of Alberta, leading the development and implementation of communication and marketing strategies focused on research and innovation.

Spencer Murray attended MacEwan University from 2014 to 2015 and obtained a Diploma in Public Relations. Prior to that, they studied at the University of Alberta from 2010 to 2014 and earned a Bachelor's Degree in English.
