Tasnim Jerin

Tasnim Jerin is an accomplished academic and researcher with a strong focus on disaster management and related fields. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Barishal since April 2019, Tasnim initially joined the institution as a Lecturer in the Department of Coastal Studies and Disaster Management. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Assistant for projects with Infolady Social Enterprise Limited, Christian Aid, and Family Planning Association Bangladesh, where Tasnim contributed to various research initiatives. Additionally, Tasnim undertook an internship at the Center for Environmental and Geographic Information Services (CEGIS) and served as a Red Crescent Youth volunteer with Bangladesh Red Crescent Society. Educational qualifications comprise a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management from the Institute of Disaster Management and Vulnerability Studies at the University of Dhaka, along with earlier studies in science.
