Flavio Garcia

Flavio Garcia is a distinguished academic and researcher in the field of computer science, holding various positions at the University of Birmingham since February 2013, including Professor, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer. Prior to this role, Flavio served as Engineering Director and Head of Research and Development at Belvo from May 2021 to June 2023. Flavio's early career included postdoctoral work and junior research positions in computer security and cryptography at Radboud University Nijmegen from August 2003 to January 2013. Flavio obtained a PhD in Computer Science from Radboud University between 2003 and 2007 and holds an equivalent MSc in Computer Science from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, earned between 1997 and 2002.
