Sadaf Alam

Sadaf Alam is currently the Director of Advanced Computing Strategy at the University of Bristol since November 2022. Prior to this role, Sadaf Alam served as Chief Technology Officer and Associate Director at CSCS from May 2014 to October 2022. Sadaf Alam also held the position of Chief Architect and Future Systems Group Lead at CSCS from 2009 to 2014, along with experience as a Computer Scientist during that period. Earlier in the career, Sadaf Alam was part of Oak Ridge National Laboratory as Research Staff and Postdoctoral Research Associate from October 2004 to March 2009, and began professional experience as a Software Engineer at Analog Devices in 2000-2001. Sadaf Alam earned a Ph.D. in Informatics and an MSc in Computer Science from The University of Edinburgh between 1998 and 2004.
