Alin Stefanescu

Alin Stefanescu is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as a Full Professor and Head of the Computer Science Department at the University of Bucharest since October 2013. Alin has extensively contributed to software engineering research and education, focusing on software project management and development methods. In addition, Alin is a Founding Member of the Institute for Logic and Data Science, which promotes logic-based and data-oriented research methods. Previous roles include serving as an Independent Expert for the European Commission and a Senior Researcher at INSOFT Development & Consulting. Alin's early career includes various research and teaching positions at institutions such as SAP, the University of Konstanz, and the University of Stuttgart, culminating in a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Stuttgart.
