Anna Nesterova

Anna Nesterova is a highly experienced professional with a diverse background in the medical device industry and academia. Currently serving as a Sessional Lecturer at the University of Calgary, Anna teaches graduate-level courses on product commercialization and market strategies. As the President of AVA Medical since 2015, Anna founded a boutique consulting agency specializing in surgical devices, successfully building teams and partnerships with major companies like Johnson & Johnson and Smith & Nephew, while significantly growing product market shares. Previous roles include Director of Client Strategy & Growth at BioIntelliSense, advisory board member for Stirling Merchant Capital, and various consulting positions across notable medical device firms. Anna holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, a Master's in Biomedical Technology from the University of Calgary, an MD from Tashkent Medical Academy, and a Bachelor's degree with Distinction in Kinesiology from the University of Calgary.
