Colin Dalton is an accomplished Assistant Professor at the University of Calgary since November 2003, specializing in micro/nano technology, microfluidics, and electrokinetics, with significant collaboration on brain-machine interfaces within the Faculty of Medicine. Dalton serves as the Director of the Microsystems Hub, overseeing the university's micro/nano fabrication cleanroom facility. As an Adjunct Professor, supervision of graduate students in the Schulich School of Engineering includes an approved Biomedical Engineering Program Graduate Supervisor role. Formerly co-founder and CTO/CSO of Neuraura, a biotech startup, Dalton has extensive research experience in both academic and industrial settings, including contributions to the Alberta Cancer Diagnostic Consortium and the UK Lab-on-a-Chip consortium. A holder of a PhD in Electronic Engineering and other advanced degrees from Bangor University, Dalton's professional journey reflects a strong commitment to advancing microtechnology applications in biomedical research.
