Sergei Noskov

Sergei Noskov is an accomplished researcher and educator currently serving as the Associate Head (Research) in the Department of Biological Science at the University of Calgary since July 2006, where responsibilities include managing operating grants and a strategic research portfolio. In addition to this role, Sergei has held various positions such as Assistant/Associate/Full Professor at WestGrid and Board Member at Springer Nature since November 2017. Furthermore, Sergei is an Editorial Board member for the European Biophysics Journal and BBA Biomembranes, with expertise in membrane proteins and theoretical biophysics. Previous experience includes a visiting professor role at the National Institutes of Health and various academic positions at notable institutions such as the University of Chicago Medicine, Weill Cornell Medical College, and Academia Sinica. Sergei completed a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Institute of Solution Chemistry, Russian Academy of Sciences, and has undertaken visiting studies at Universität Innsbruck.
