Ida Sim serves as the UCSF Director of the UCSF UC Berkeley Joint Program in Computational Precision Health since September 2021, aimed at integrating medicine, statistics, public health, and computation to advance disease treatment and prevention. Holding a professorship in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of California San Francisco since January 1998, Ida also co-directs the Informatics & Research Innovation at the UCSF Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute. As a co-founder of Vivli and Open mHealth, Ida has contributed to developing platforms for sharing clinical trial data and mobile health data interoperability, respectively. Additionally, Ida was the founding project director for the International Clinical Trials Registry Platform from July 2005 to December 2006. Educationally, Ida possesses a Doctor of Philosophy in Medical Informatics from Stanford University, and completed a residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at Harvard Medical School.
