Anima Adjepong

Anima Adjepong is an accomplished academic and founder based at the University of Cincinnati, serving as an Associate Professor and previously as an Assistant Professor of Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Anima has established Silent Majority, Ghana, aiming to enhance the lives of queer individuals through popular education rooted in indigenous epistemologies. With a diverse background, experience includes roles as an Independent Consultant and Assistant Professor at Simmons University, as well as significant research contributions at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on immigration, race, gender, and extractive economies. Anima's expertise is further highlighted by previous positions at Education Pioneers and the Advisory Board Company, combining research and strategic planning to improve educational access and organizational effectiveness. Anima holds a Ph.D. in Sociology, Black Studies, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The University of Texas at Austin and an A.B. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University.
