David Dreyer Lassen serves as Prorector for Research and Innovation at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen since January 2021 and has been a Professor in the Department of Economics at the same institution since 2012. Previously, David was the Director of SODAS - Center for Social Data Science from August 2016 to November 2021 and held the role of Professor, MSO in the Department of Economics from 2007 to 2012. A Visiting Scholar at Harvard University in 2007, David has also been an Associate Professor of Economics and Assistant Professor at the University of Copenhagen from 2002 to 2007. Academically, David holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Københavns Universitet, a Special Student degree from Harvard University, and an M.Sc. in Economics from Københavns Universitet. David completed secondary education at Schneekloths Gymnasium with a focus on Math, Physics, and Social Science.
