Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen

Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen is the current Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. Mikkel has held various positions in academia and the Danish government, including Head of Defence and Security Policy Development Secretariat in the Danish Ministry of Defence and Head of the Danish Institute for Military Studies. Mikkel is a professor and director of the Center for Military Studies at the University of Copenhagen.

Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen completed a PhD in International Relations at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen. Mikkel also holds an MSc in Political Science from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, and an MSc in IR from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Mikkel has a High School Diploma in Languages and Social Sciences from Roskilde Katedralskole.

They are on a team with Bente Merete Stallknecht - Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Jacob Graff Nielsen - Dean, Faculty of Law, and David Dreyer Lassen - Vice Chancellor. Mikkel Vedby Rasmussen reports to Henrik C. Wegener, Rector.
