Robert H. Wilson is an accomplished academic and research scientist in the field of physics, currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Physics at the University of Dayton since August 2023. Prior to this position, Robert held the role of Assistant Professor In-Residence in the Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine from November 2020 to August 2023, and worked as an Assistant Project Scientist at the Beckman Laser Institute from September 2012 to November 2020, where research focused on diffuse optical imaging of the brain's response to cardiac arrest and resuscitation. Robert's postdoctoral research experience includes investigations in biomedical optics, tissue reflectance, fluorescence spectroscopy, and optical diagnostics applications, all conducted during tenure at the University of Michigan from September 2006 to July 2012. Robert earned a Ph.D. in Engineering Physics/Applied Physics from the University of Michigan in 2012, alongside dual Bachelor’s Degrees in Mathematics and Physics in 2006.
