Vesa T. is a highly experienced research manager with a robust background in viral vector development and gene therapy. Currently serving as Research Manager at the University of Eastern Finland since July 2024, Vesa has previously held significant roles including Head of Viral Vector at NecstGen where responsibilities included establishing viral vector development and manufacturing capabilities. Other notable positions include leadership roles at Kuopio Center for Gene and Cell Therapy, overseeing the Analytical Core, and senior scientist roles at FinVector Oy, where project management in recombinant adeno-associated virus manufacturing was key. Vesa's academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Medicine and an MSc in Biochemistry from the University of Eastern Finland, complemented by postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania.
