M. Stephen Harkness

Mr. M. Stephen Harkness is retired from Duke Energy Generation Services where he was president. During his career, he has held various executive-level positions in the energy industry.

Harkness graduated from the University of Evansville with a Bachelor of Science in finance. He later received an MBA from Indiana University. Harkness delivered the keynote address to UE's 2006 graduating seniors and received an honorary Doctor of Business Administration. In 2011, The Alumni Association awarded him the Distinguished Alumni Award.

Prior to his membership on the UE Board of Trustees, Harkness was a member of the UE Board of Visitors.
