Carole Clerie

Carole Clerie serves as the Vice President of Human Resources at the University of Houston-Downtown since March 2024, following a tenure as Associate Vice President for Human Resources at Texas State University from March 2021 to March 2024. Prior roles include Chief Human Resources Officer at both Columbus State University and Fort Valley State University, as well as Director of Employee Services at Lynn University. Carole's extensive human resources management experience is complemented by a background in technology and training from Vanguard Car Rental and Alamo Rent-A-Car. Carole holds an MBA in Finance from Lynn University and a BS in Business with a focus on Management Information Systems from Florida Atlantic University, alongside an Associate's degree in Business Administration from Palm Beach State College.
