Michael Connelly

Michael Connelly currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Advising and Student Progression at the University of Houston-Downtown, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this role, Michael was affiliated with Michigan State University for nearly 14 years, where responsibilities included Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the College of Social Science, Director of Student Affairs, and Department Chair. Michael's background also includes extensive service in the United States Air Force from 1991 to 2012, achieving ranks such as Commander and Deputy Chief while fulfilling various operational roles. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA in Information Systems from City University of Seattle.
