Leslie A. Coward

Leslie A. Coward, Ph.D., serves as the Interim Executive Director and Director of Faculty Engagement and Development at the University of Houston since June 2019, with a focus on faculty development, diversity and inclusion, and global education. Prior experience includes roles as Postdoctoral Academic Program Manager and founding Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs at Baylor College of Medicine, emphasizing diversity and leadership development. Additional positions at The University of Texas at Austin involved research on organizational leadership and academic success for minority males. Leslie's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration and Leadership from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master of Public Administration from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Texas Southern University.
