James Moberly is the Co-op Faculty Advisor for Chemical & Biological Engineering at the University of Idaho. James has over seven years of experience as a research associate and engineer in the environmental consulting and academic fields. James has a PhD in Environmental Engineering from Montana State University. James's research focuses on integrating molecular and geochemical data to improve our understanding of biogeochemical interactions. James has applied their skills in advanced molecular techniques, geochemical tools, and multivariate statistics to define anaerobic systems, study environmental samples, and elucidate mechanisms of methylation and demethylation of Hg chemical species.

James Moberly received their PhD in Chemical Engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman, their M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University, and their B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Idaho. James also has a certification from the State of Idaho as a Professional Engineer (PE).

James Moberly reports to John Mangiantini, Director, Cooperative Education. They work with Matthew Swenson - Co-op Faculty Advisor, Mechanical Engineering, Yacine Chakhchoukh - Co-op Faculty Advisor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, and Elizabeth Bullers - Co-op Coordinator, College of Business & Economics.
