Matthew Swenson is the current Co-op Faculty Advisor for Mechanical Engineering at University of Idaho. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Boise State University from June 2013 to June 2017. Before that, they were with NACCO Materials Handling Group from April 2004 to May 2013 as Platform Leader. Matthew started their career as Engineering Manager at GK Machine Inc. from January 1999 to December 2004.

Matthew Swenson has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering from Boise State University, a Graduate Teaching Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education from Boise State University, a Masters of Engineering in Materials Science and Engineering from Boise State University, and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University.

Matthew Swenson reports to John Mangiantini, Director, Cooperative Education. Matthew Swenson works with Yacine Chakhchoukh - Co-op Faculty Advisor, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Terry Soule - Co-op Faculty Advisor, Computer Science, and Elizabeth Bullers - Co-op Coordinator, College of Business & Economics.
