Alex Solecki is currently a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Energy Transport Research Laboratory, focusing on developing electro-thermal pulse de-icing technology for electrified aircraft and photovoltaic cells, and participating in the SCAPES agrivoltaics project. Additionally, Alex conducts research on sustainable aviation fuels at the Advanced Propulsion and Energy Laboratory. Prior experience includes serving as a Lead Engineering Tutor at Opus College of Engineering and a Construction Project Management Intern at Bulley & Andrews. Alex holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University.
