Cliff Shin

Cliff Shin, Ph.D., serves as the Director of Product Design & Development at FinaMill since May 2024. As an Associate Professor of Industrial Design at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Cliff also contributes as an Affiliate Advisory Board Member at the Siebel Center for Design and as Affiliated Faculty in the Cognitive Neuroscience Group at the Beckman Institute for Advanced Science and Technology. Additional roles include Creative Director at Illinois Design Consulting and Head of Industrial Design at Saddleye. Previously, Cliff held positions such as Director of Industrial Design at The Product Manufactory and Assistant Professor at Kansas State University. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MA in Industrial Design from Purdue University, and a BS in Manufacturing Engineering from Arizona State University, complemented by professional education in Emotional Design and User Experience.
