Carlyn Haas

Medical Student at University of Iowa

Carlyn Haas is a dedicated medical student at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine since August 2021. Prior to this, Carlyn served as a Program Specialist at Proteus, Inc. from May 2019 to June 2021, acting as a liaison for the National Farmworker Jobs Program and performing various healthcare responsibilities, including patient intakes and phlebotomy. Additionally, Carlyn worked as a Bilingual Health Aide, contributing to the organization's mission of supporting low-income and migrant populations. Carlyn held multiple roles at Eckerd College, including Vice President of Academic Affairs, where research focused on culturally responsive medical care and HIV stigma was conducted. Other experiences include serving as an Emergency Department Medical Scribe at CarePoint Health and coordinating voter engagement as a Campus Election Engagement Project Fellow. Carlyn earned a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Spanish, with a minor in Chemistry from Eckerd College.
