Marie McCormack

Marie McCormack has extensive work experience in the field of corporate communications. Marie is currently the Head of Corporate Communications at the University of Leicester. Prior to this role, they served as the Communications Manager at West Northamptonshire Council from 2020 to 2022. From 2019 to 2020, Marie worked as a Communications Specialist at Cognita Schools. Marie also held the position of Communications Lead at South Northamptonshire Council from 2018 to 2019. Before that, Marie worked as a self-employed freelance communications specialist from 2018 to 2018. Marie was the Communications Manager at Cranfield University School of Management from 2006 to 2018. Marie McCormack started their career as a Senior Press Officer at Northampton Borough Council from 2004 to 2006. Marie also worked in public relations at Avon from 2003 to 2004. Marie's earlier roles include Communications Coordinator at the University of Northampton from 2001 to 2003 and Communications Officer at Middlesex University from 2000 to 2001.

Marie McCormack completed a BA in Media & Cultural Studies from the University of the Arts London in 2000. In 2009-2010, they attended the Cranfield School of Management for an Accelerated Talent Development Programme. More recently, they have been studying Mindfulness at Work at the same institution since 2013.
