Boštjan Makarovič

Boštjan Makarovič serves as the Managing Partner and Founder of Aphaia, where the focus is on providing clients with smart compliance solutions that mitigate risks and enhance financial outcomes. In addition to this role, Makarovič is the Chair Of The Board Of Trustees at Chaitech and serves as a Startup Mentor at DMS Accelerator, while also being a Chief Examiner for the LLM in Telecommunications Law at the University of London. Makarovič is involved as a mentor at hub:raum, guiding startups on data protection and privacy regulations, and holds the position of arbitrator for the dispute resolution body for .si domain names. Previous experience includes heading the telecommunications division at APEK, working as a legal expert at Telekom Slovenije, and a diverse educational background culminating in a PhD in communications law from Queen Mary University of London.
