Richard Warren

Richard Warren has extensive experience in managing IT and digital services within academic libraries, currently serving as Associate Director of Research & Library Systems at the University of London since February 2015. In this role, Richard leads the digital work stream for the Library Transformation Programme, focusing on innovative solutions, system consolidation, and enhancing efficiencies in the IT ecosystem. Previous positions include Associate Director of Library & Business Services and Interim Director at Senate House Library, where Richard oversaw strategic IT management and adapted services during the Covid pandemic. Prior to the University of London, Richard held key roles at University College London and King's College London, demonstrating a strong background in enterprise applications, service support, and operational management for large user bases. Richard's academic background includes a BSc(Hons) in Music & Computing from Oxford Brookes University.
