Julius A. Austin, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, is an experienced mental health professional currently serving as an On-staff Facilitator at Pace since June 2022 and as an Assistant Professor in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate program at Grand Canyon University since June 2021. Julius has held various academic positions, including Adjunct Professor roles at Southeastern Louisiana University and Southern University and A&M College, and previously worked as a Clinical Therapist and Coordinator at Tulane University's Office of Substance Abuse and Recovery. With a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Wyoming, as well as advanced degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Julius focuses on the psychophysiological aspects of the therapeutic relationship in research.
