Stephen Barnes

Stephen Barnes serves as the Executive Director and Director of the Blanco Public Policy Center and holds the position of Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette since August 2019. Prior to this role, Stephen was associated with Louisiana State University from August 2009 to July 2019, where Stephen held multiple positions including Associate Professor-Research and Director of the LSU Economics & Policy Research Group. Stephen began his career at Litigation Analytics as a Senior Economist from June 2008 to August 2009. Stephen earned a Ph.D. in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin between 2002 and 2008, and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Louisiana State University from 1999 to 2002.
