Mia Jocic

Student Employee - Prospect Research at University of Maryland

Mia Jocic is a student at the University of Maryland, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering at the A. James Clark School of Engineering. Currently serving as a Student Employee in Prospect Research, Mia conducts biographical research on prospective donors and collaborates on a project involving over 1500 alumni, gaining experience with Ellucian Advance software alongside previous skills in Excel, Google Sheets, and LinkedIn. Additionally, as the Laboratory Manager for Team UMaryland iGEM, Mia generates lab protocols, facilitates communication among a 60-member committee, and contributes to the development of CerviCare, a cervical precancer screening tool. Mia has previous experience as an intern at Lenox Hill Neurosurgery and the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center, where project management and data analysis were key responsibilities.
