Pamela Abshire

Pamela Abshire is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Maryland College Park, where tenure spans from November 2001 to the present, having also served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor during that time. Abshire held the position of General Co-Chair for ISCAS 2017 with the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society from May 2013 to May 2017. Prior experience includes work as a Biomedical Research Engineer at Medtronic from June 1992 to August 1995, focusing on algorithm development and evaluation for pacemakers. Abshire earned a PhD and MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and a BS in Physics from Caltech.
