Thomas Beutner

Thomas Beutner is currently serving as a Research Professor at the University of Maryland since November 2022. Prior to this role, Thomas held the position of Deputy Director at the Tactical Technology Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from April 2018 to November 2022. Thomas also worked at the Office of Naval Research from March 2010 to April 2018, where responsibilities included serving as the Air Warfare and Weapons Department Head and Director of the Aerospace Sciences Division. Earlier in Thomas's career, positions included Program Manager at DARPA from 2005 to 2010 and Program Manager at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR) from 1999 to 2005.
