Ewan Nurse is an AI and medical device specialist with extensive experience in academia and industry. Currently serving as a Principal Fellow, Senior Fellow, and Fellow at the University of Melbourne since August 2018, Ewan also holds positions as a Member at the Graeme Clark Institute for Biomedical Engineering, an Industry Advisory Board Member at the Victorian Medtech Skills and Devices Hub, and a Human Research Ethics Committee Member at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Previously, Ewan was the Director of Research and Research Lead at Seer and worked as an External Co-Supervisor at Swinburne University of Technology. Early experience includes an internship at IBM Research Australia and roles at Synchron and the Defence Science and Technology Group. Ewan holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering, along with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering Systems and a Certificate IV in Business Administration. Currently pursuing the Bridgetech Program at QUT, Ewan continues to contribute significantly to the field of biomedical engineering.
