Simon Ruffell

Simon Ruffell is an accomplished professional currently serving as an Honorary Research Fellow at Goldsmiths, University of London, and the University of Melbourne. As Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Onaya, Simon has led the organization since January 2016. Previously, Simon held the position of Chief Medical Officer and Senior Research Fellow at Psychae Institute and worked as a psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. Simon's research focuses on the impact of Amazonian Ayahuasca on mental health, which was the subject of a PhD at Goldsmiths, University of London. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy from Goldsmiths, a Foundation in Psychoanalysis from the Institute of Psychoanalysis, membership to the Royal College of Psychiatrists from King's College London, Core Psychiatric Training through South London and the Maudsley Training Program, and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from The University of Sheffield.
