Dr. Tin Mar Oo is currently a Teaching Assistant and PhD Candidate at the University of Montana since August 2024 and serves as the Program Coordinator for the Inclusion/Rohingya Program at Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR) since May 2024. In addition, Dr. Tin Mar Oo is the Founder of the RAISA Rohingya Southeast Asia Network, established in September 2023. Prior professional experience includes roles as Senior Protection Manager for Rakhine and Chin at the International Rescue Committee and various consultancy positions focused on gender, peace, and public health initiatives with organizations such as the Youth Capacity Building Center, Rakhine Women Initiative Organization, and Mote Oo Education. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Conservation and Social Science from the University of Montana, a Master’s degree in Global Challenges from the University of Edinburgh, a Master’s degree in Public Health from The Australian National University, an MBBS from the Institute of Medicine 2 Yangon, and a certificate from the Young Woman Leadership Program by the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Wellbeing.
