Gerhard Iiputa is an accomplished Environmental Scientist and Researcher with extensive experience in pollution control and water resource management. Currently employed at the University of Namibia since February 2016, Gerhard's prior experience includes serving as a Pollution Control Scientist at the City of Windhoek from February 2003 to June 2013, where responsibilities included managing industrial pollution and protecting the city's water infrastructure. Additionally, Gerhard worked as an Assistant Scientist and Section Scientist focusing on water and wastewater treatment and began a career in water resource planning as a Field Technician in the Department of Water Affairs from March 2001 to February 2003. Academically, Gerhard is a PhD candidate specializing in Aquatic Ecotoxicology and Bioremediation at the University of Namibia, with a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Environmental Biology from the same institution, complemented by honors in Applied Science from the University of Pretoria.
