Debora Wisneski

Debora Wisneski is a seasoned educator with extensive experience in higher education and leadership roles. Currently serving as a Professor and Associate Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha since May 2012, Debora has previously held positions as President of both the Association for the Study of Play (2022-2023) and the Association for Childhood Education International (2011-2013). Other roles include Associate Professor at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (2004-2012), Lab School Master Teacher at Stephens College (1995-1999), and Preschool and Kindergarten Teacher at New Franklin R-1 Schools (1993-1995). Debora holds a Ph.D. in Curriculum & Instruction, specializing in Early Childhood Education from the University of Texas-Austin, alongside multiple degrees in Education from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
