Robert Ostergard

Robert Ostergard has extensive work experience in academia and consulting. Robert has held various roles, including Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Graduate Studies at the University of Nevada Reno. At the university, they also served as a faculty member for the Genocide and Peace Studies Program and the Gender, Race, and Identity Program. Additionally, they worked as a faculty member at the Cyber Security Research Center and as an Independent Consultant for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Outside of the university, Ostergard worked as an Independent Consultant for organizations such as the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, RAND Corporation, and the Canadian Ministry of Defense. Robert also served as a facilitator at the World Economic Forum's Africa Economic Summit. In terms of publishing, they were a co-editor for the Global Health Book Series at Ashgate Publishing Company Inc and an editorial board member for Global Health Governance at Seton Hall University. Furthermore, they worked as a Public Policy Consultant at Strategic Progress, LLC.

Robert Ostergard earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Economics from UMass Boston in 1993. Robert went on to earn their PhD in Political Science from Binghamton University in 1999. Additionally, in 1996, Robert obtained a certificate for the Summer Program in Quantitative Methods of Social Research from the University of Michigan - ICPSR Summer Program.
