Matthew Tarr has extensive academic and research experience at the University of New Orleans, serving as a Professor, Vice President for Research and Economic Development, Chair of the Department of Chemistry, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor since August 1995. Prior to this, Matthew completed a National Research Council Postdoctoral Fellowship at the USEPA from September 1992 to August 1995. Matthew earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry from the Georgia Institute of Technology (1988-1992), a Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry from Emory University (1988-1998), and a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry from Emory University (1984-1988).
