Marie Saparamadu

Marie Saparamadu has extensive experience in financial management and accounting within both academic and aviation sectors. Currently serving as Associate Director of Research & Revenue Accounting at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) since May 2013, Marie leads the Research Financial Control and Governance for a $500 million research portfolio and oversees departments including Research Finance and Accounts Receivable. Prior to UNSW, Marie held senior managerial roles at Qantas from 1996 to 2012, managing budgeting, financial planning, and reporting activities for portfolios exceeding $12 billion. Earlier career positions included various finance-related roles at SriLankan Airlines and Gulf Air from 1982 to 1996. Marie's educational qualifications include a Master of Business in Accounting and Finance from the University of Technology Sydney and certifications as a Certified Practising Accountant and Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (UK).
