Beau Jimmerson

Beau Jimmerson has extensive work experience in procurement, operations, and supply chain management. Beau currently holds the position of Chief Procurement Officer and Executive Director of Operations at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since March 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Procurement Officer & Executive Director of Payroll and Materials Management at the same university from June 2016 to March 2020. Before joining the University of North Carolina, Jimmerson worked at Lenovo, where they held various roles including Director of Enterprise Procurement Operations and Director of Global Program Management & Operations. Beau was also the Global Supply Chain Strategy Program Manager and AG Logistics Business Placement Manager at Lenovo. Earlier in their career, they worked at Aerospace Products International as the Director of New Product Development, Senior Business Analyst, and Business Analyst. Beau also has experience as a Facilities Project Manager at Gulfstream Aerospace.

Beau Jimmerson obtained a B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2000. Beau later pursued an MBA in Supply Chain Management from North Carolina State University, which they completed in 2010. In terms of certifications, Beau acquired a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute and a Six Sigma - Green Belt certification from Lenovo, both in 2012.
