Nicholas Sengstaken serves as a Transformation Manager and Program Coordinator for Operational Excellence and Strategic Initiatives at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since July 2020, where responsibilities include providing administrative support, managing the COVID-19 Vaccine Incentive Program, and conducting benchmarking research on various university initiatives. As a Chancellor’s Fellow, Nicholas advocated for the Class Features online tool, co-authored the 2019-2020 Operational Excellence Annual Report, and advised university leadership on COVID-19 protocols. Prior experience includes an internship with U.S. PIRG, where Nicholas created a repository for Inclusive Access contracts and provided insights to major media outlets. Nicholas is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Evaluation and Policy Analysis at North Carolina State University, following a dual Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Political Science and Government, and Music Performance with an emphasis in Jazz Studies.
