Johnny Lail

Johnny Lail has a strong background in data analysis and education. Johnny currently works at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as the Associate Director of Institutional Research and Enterprise Data Management. In this role, they oversee advanced data projects and collaborates with other departments and outside entities. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Data Quality Specialist and an IT Business Intelligence / Data Analyst II at the same university.

Before joining UNCG, Johnny worked at Western Carolina University as an Adjunct Economics Professor and a Business & Technology Applications Analyst. Johnny also served as a Social Clinical Research Specialist. Johnny has experience in report automation, enrollment management, and creating interactive dashboards using Tableau.

In addition, Johnny worked at TownsTown & Company as a Subject Matter Expert, where they collaborated with authors and illustrators to incorporate business topics into children's storytelling. Johnny was responsible for creating an index of accurate and informative terminology.

Johnny has also taught as an Adjunct Economics Professor at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and worked as a Manager at GameStop. Johnny also gained experience as a Graduate Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Overall, Johnny Lail has a diverse and extensive background in data analysis and education.

Johnny Lail holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Applied Economics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, which they obtained from 2012 to 2014. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics from the same university from 2010 to 2012. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Learning Data Governance, Learning Zoom, Tips for Working Remotely, and Data Management and Visualization. The latter certification was obtained from Coursera Course Certificates in 2015.
