Katherine Skinner

Katherine Skinner, CPA, CIA, CFE has a strong and diverse work experience in the field of auditing. Katherine recently joined the University of North Carolina at Greensboro as the Director of Internal Audit in June 2022. Prior to this, they worked at the NC Office of the State Auditor, where they held the position of Assistant State Audit Supervisor from December 2020 to June 2022. Katherine also has a significant tenure at the NC Office of State Auditor, where they served as an Assistant State Auditor from February 2012 to December 2020. Early in their career, they gained valuable experience as a Revenue Field Auditor at the NC Department of Revenue from 2006 to 2009. Throughout their professional journey, Katherine has consistently demonstrated their expertise and commitment to the field of auditing.

Katherine Skinner holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from East Carolina University. In addition, they have obtained the certifications of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the respective institutions.
