Troy Scarlott

Troy Scarlott is an accomplished marketing and advertising professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across various companies. Currently serving as an Adjunct Professor at the University of North Texas since 2025, Scarlott previously held the position of SVP, Managing Director of Creative & Innovation at Horizon Media from 2022 to 2025. As Chief Operating Officer at SmartBug Media between 2020 and 2022, Scarlott contributed to the agency being recognized in the Adweek Top 100 list. Prior experience includes leading growth marketing at EnergyBot, digital practice at Edelman, and marketing strategy at YapStone, among other executive creative positions in reputable agencies. Scarlott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis.
