David Griffith is an accomplished educator and writer with extensive experience in creative writing and narrative medicine. Currently affiliated with the University of Notre Dame as faculty at the Reilly Center for Science, Technology, and Values, David teaches innovative courses that emphasize narrative competencies for health profession students. As the founder of “574 Stories,” a creative writing workshop for high school students, and the Founding Director of "Write Differently," aimed at supporting young writers on the autism spectrum, David demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and community engagement. Previous leadership roles include Vice President at Chautauqua Institution and Chair of the Associated Writing Programs Caucus for K-12 Teachers of Creative Writing. David holds multiple degrees in English and Creative Writing from the University of Notre Dame and the University of Pittsburgh, and is also recognized for the publication of the critically acclaimed essay collection, "A Good War is Hard to Find: The Art of Violence in America."
