Joel Day

Joel Day is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in academia and public service. Currently serving as the Managing Director of the Notre Dame Democracy Initiative at the University of Notre Dame, Joel has also held significant positions at Princeton University as a Senior Fellow and Research Director. Additionally, Joel has worked as a Lecturer at UC San Diego's School of Global Policy and Strategy and as a Research Fellow at the University of Southern California's Center for Public Diplomacy. Notably, Joel served as a Senior Advisor for Covid19 Response and Recovery for the City of San Diego and held various leadership roles, including Department Director and Executive Director. Joel holds a Ph.D. in International Politics from the University of Denver and a Master's degree in International Relations from the University of San Diego.
