Neil Boothby is a Professor at the University of Notre Dame since January 2019, with previous experience as the Director of the Fostering Resilience Program at The Earth Institute, Columbia University, from November 2017 to December 2018. Boothby served as the Allan Rosenfield Professor of Forced Migration and Health at Columbia University School of Public Health from June 2002 to November 2017, focusing on graduate training and operational research for humanitarian agencies. As a US Government Special Adviser and Senior Coordinator at USAID from March 2012 to March 2014, Boothby ensured effective foreign assistance for children in low and middle-income countries. Boothby's earlier roles include Director of the CPC Learning Network, Director of Children in Crisis Programs at Save the Children, and Senior Coordinator for Refugee Children at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. Education was completed with a doctorate in child development and psychology from Harvard University.
