Rahul Oka is a Ford Family Assistant Professor of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame, where tenure began in January 2007, with additional roles as Visiting Assistant Professor and Instructor. Oka also serves as a Faculty Fellow at both the Kroc Institute for Peace Studies since April 2010 and the Kellogg Institute for International Development since August 2009. Prior experience includes being a University Fellow and Instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago from August 2000 to July 2006, and a Lester Armour Pre Doctoral Fellow at The Field Museum from August 2004 to July 2005. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Illinois Chicago (2008) and a B.A. cum laude in Anthropology and Biology from Lawrence University (1998).
