Yong Zhang is an accomplished Assistant Research Professor and Senior Scientist at the University of Notre Dame since January 2011, specializing in the transport properties and structural dynamics of ionic liquids through advanced computational methods. Key contributions include the development of predictive models for electrochemical windows and ionic liquid viscosity, the establishment of a high-throughput screening package for battery electrolytes, and extensive research into the relationship between molecular structure and transport properties. Prior experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at multiple institutions involved innovative methodologies for melting point prediction and free energy calculations. Yong Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Boston University, as well as Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering from Nanjing University.
