Cristina Chapman

Cristina Chapman currently serves as the Head of Public Affairs at the University of Nottingham, a position held since August 2023. Previously, Cristina was a Corporate Communications, Parliamentary, and External Affairs Consultant at the UK Home Office, where senior counsel was provided on a significant investment into new communications technology for emergency services. Prior roles include Head of External Affairs at the Department for Transport, Deputy Head of External Affairs and Strategic Communications at the Cabinet Office during the COVID-19 pandemic, and Co-chair of the Energy Leadership Platform at the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Cristina has extensive experience in managing strategic communications across various sectors, focusing on energy security and public affairs, and has worked in communications and journalism for over two decades. Education includes a CIPR Public Affairs degree from the London PR Academy.
